The Winslow Mail has been
Winslow's only local newspaper
since 1894. The Old Trails Museum
has a complete collection of back
issues of the paper. Some issues are
in the form of bound original
issues, and other are recorded on
microphish. This March  2, 1932
issue of the paper (left) features a
story on the Lindberg Baby
kidnapping
This March 23, 1945
issue of the paper
has a headline story
about rail traffic
passing through
Winslow during
World War II. The
article mentions
that 2300 freight
cars passed
through town
every 24 hours.
As the news industry
changed over the years,
The Winslow Mail turned
more and more to local
news for its headlines.
This April 19, 1979 issue
discusses the construction
of the Sunrise Park on
the east end of town.
